The one-sentence version

Nadan is a planning and score-keeping tool: it can see, never touch — your money stays at your own bank and brokerage, and your family's plan belongs to you.

What Nadan stores

Your family plan — children's first names or nicknames, birth month and year (never a full birth date), savings goals, and the deposits you record — is saved on your own device unless you explicitly create an account and choose to sync it.

If you connect a bank or brokerage account, the connection is read-only and made through Plaid, a regulated connection service used by major financial apps. Nadan receives account names, balances, and deposit transactions — never your bank username or password, which are entered only on your bank's own screens.

Access tokens for connected accounts are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. All traffic uses HTTPS/TLS.

What Nadan never does

Never moves, holds, or touches money. There is no payment capability anywhere in the product.

Never sees or stores bank credentials, Social Security numbers, or full birth dates.

Never sells or shares your data with third parties. No advertising, no data brokers.

Never gives investment advice. What to invest in is a conversation for you and a licensed professional.

Your controls

Export: you can download your full family plan as a file at any time (Details → Download family backup).

Delete: you can remove any child, any deposit record, or the whole plan; unlinking a connected account revokes Nadan's read access.

Questions or deletion requests: wiederabraham@gmail.com.

Service providers

Hosting: Vercel (encrypted in transit and at rest). Bank connections: Plaid (read-only scopes). Each processes data only to provide the service.
